+1 For iPhone app

could you make this run on an iPhone/iPod Touch? I don't know if it is even possible but it would be helpful to me at least

What about something for jail broken iphones? I've got a whole swag of stuff running in the background

agree that an app to set task status would be ideal. if i head into a client meeting and don't have a laptop with me, or start a teleconference while getting onto the road, it would be great to set those "offline" tasks in motion.

how about having something use push notification to 'ping' me every so often to see what i'm up to? or at least ask me what i've accomplished in the past hour.

i agree that even a manual log kept via a frequently in-sync (user run) iphone app is a decent solution.

well you could add a way to manually track time according to the classifications we already have in the desktop/web applications. this way i could log additional offline time tracking info.

The iphone app could work as a timer, which RescueTime needs anyway for those periods away from a PC - this would make it a more useful, comprehensive application

Believe me, we looked at it. Right now the SDK forbids background applications (which is what RescueTime would need to be to monitor phone usage). We could have an app which allowed you to view your RescueTime data "on the go", but I dunno how useful that'd be.

Simply being able to manually track and tag time on the iphone would be very worthwhile if the data would sync with rescuetime.
